The XF705 is Canon’s flagship 4K UHD professional camcorder with HDR recording, and it is specifically designed for applications that require mobility and high-quality output even when streaming online. This makes it perfect for news broadcasts, event coverage, documentary filming, and more. Built to produce the most natural, true-to-life 4K video with highly accurate color rendition, the XF705 4K UHD is the first of Canon’s camcorders to support the H.265/HEVC codec, allowing for IP-based live streaming to TV and social media.
It is also armed with a compact, portable, and ergonomically designed body and integrated with a 1-inch CMOS sensor, two DIGIC DV 6 Image Processors, Dual Pixel CMOS AF, and a 4K zoom lens with 5-axis Optical Image Stabilization, allowing it to record 4K UHD 4:2:2 10-bit videos that are ultra-stable and in-focus at all times—even when utilizing the longest focal length on the 15x optical zoom built-in lens.
Other features include a 4-inch rotating touchscreen LCD, a 0.46-inch OLED electronic viewfinder, an integrated HDMI 2.0 terminal for 4K 60p output, and a variety of audio recording options, including two XLR terminals, a stereo mini-jack mic terminal, and a built-in stereo mic.
